Living Traditions Workshops: Bread and Butter

About the Event
Step back in time and experience the satisfying tradition of making bread and butter from scratch! In this hands-on workshop, participants will work in pairs to mix and learn how to maintain a sourdough starter, prepare a loaf of bread to take home and bake, and churn fresh butter the old-fashioned way. Bring a friend or come make a new one as you learn practical skills once found in every farmhouse kitchen and enjoy a taste of freshly baked sourdough bread. Each participant will leave with homemade butter, a sourdough starter, prepared dough, and the confidence to continue this delicious tradition at home.

This ticket is valid for one adult. Must be 18 or older to participate. All materials and tools will be provided. Please bring a snack if needed, as there are no food vendors or dining options on the property. The workshop will be held in the Studio Building, located across the parking lot from the main entrance. The building is handicap accessible and includes an ADA-compliant restroom.
